I chose the word "YOUNG" because when thinking of myself that is the first word that comes to mind. "Young" in my definition represents many things for example: playfulness, innocence, and optimism. Everyone matures at different speeds but just because your older doesn't mean you can't have young tendencies. Of course age is included in the proper definition of young but I believe being young is a state of mind and I'll be forever young no matter what age I am.
Your artist statement is very well written, well done. As far as the work it is readable, however I am disappointed that you had to create almost all the letters rather then using found objects or locations, as a photographer you need to see beyond what could be considered every day or mundane and find the interesting in in. Force the viewer to see a "G" in a fence, etc.
